Common questions
No. Sentences are built and spoken on the iPad or iPhone itself, so VoiceBox works the
same with no signal at all.
Nothing leaves the device. Sentences, added words and settings are kept on the iPad or
iPhone, and are never sent to us or anyone else. There is no account, no tracking and
no advertising. The privacy policy has the
details.
It is hidden at first, so the person using VoiceBox can't change anything by mistake.
Open the iPad's Settings app, choose VoiceBox AAC and
turn on Enable In-App Settings. A gear button then appears in
VoiceBox.
Yes. In VoiceBox's Settings, tap Voice to choose any
voice installed on the device and set its speed, pitch and volume. Enhanced and
Premium voices sound more natural: download them in the iPad's Settings under
Accessibility › Spoken Content › Voices, and VoiceBox uses the best
one installed.
For a one-off, tap ??? and type it. To keep it, add it in Settings › Custom Dictionary. In upcoming versions, vocabulary packs for specific domains will be available for purchase. If you feel a word is missing from VoiceBox's core vocabulary, please email us and we will consider adding it.
Email mail@codenursery.net
and we will send you a TestFlight invitation.
